I'm glad you were able to sell your car but your reminising made me sad. I remember driving across the country in your car while coming home with you from school.
Oh, yeah! That was actually my favorite of the cross country trips. We went to Carthage and Nauvoo and down past Independence (even though nothing much was open at the time) and stayed in a small hotel in a random Colorado ski resort town. It was around Mother's Day and we went shopping in Cortez (wasn't it Cortez?) We had yummy chocolate covered cranberries. I also had a really cool trip across country with Michael where we bonded over the miles and miles of open road. It was sad taking him to the airport without seeing a Cubs game first.
Cute pictures of Shannon, but seeing packed up apartments always makes me sad. Funny how you'll be 414 miles closer now (give or take a few) but it seems like so much farther. I do have a passport though! Only a few more weeks, right! :)
It doesn't quite seem real that you will be moving to another country in just a few days--or that ou just moved. I forgot the moving date. But I have to remember it will be so nice for your family to be reunited again. The longest I've ever gone (without a husband but with kids) is 5 weeks, and I didn't have to teach or anything. Good luck!
