Why is it that little girls go from loving horses, fairies, and ballerinas to obsessing over vampire books or series about gossipy, cliquey, it-girls and their shallow boyfriends? What is it with all these weird fads that publishers and their consumers go through? You would not believe how many sparkly fairy books I shelve every day. And how many vampire books besides Twilight are in existence. It's enough to bury Bram Stoker again, if needs be.

oh, you just wait. All that lovely drama is coming your way soon. And if it doesn't, we can definately share some. Luckily we have been able to steer our girls away from all the "trendy" stuff and that has helped.
btw, Josie decided to wear panties today. lovely. not what I wanted to do all day.
It's called boys and puberty.
Little girls have a huge flush of estrogen long before puberty. Between ages 2 and 7 girls have a greater proportion of estrogen than do adult women. It prepares their brains for adulthood. Luckily there is a short break before puberty its for real.
