My baby is ten-months old. That said, many of you can imagine the cottage cheese, spinach, rice cereal, soggy Cheerio, sweet potato kinds of meals we have, most of which ends up in her beautiful soft hair. We've established a kind of routine where I load up the spoon, she takes it in her right hand, and she fists it into her mouth. Sometimes she misses, but mostly she's got it down. Sometimes she can't wait for the next delicious mouthful, so I'll pull out spoon number two and she'll take it in her left hand and alternate. Left. Right. Left. Drop the spoon and pinch the food with the fingers. Right. Gnaw and chew. Left. Right. Try to get the bit that plopped on the chin. Right again. Left.
She makes even sweet potatoes look delicious.
She makes even sweet potatoes look delicious.
