Housing in Victoria is pretty tight and expensive, not to mention you need references to get into a spot. We were pretty lucky to find any place to live since Anthony hasn't been in the country for a few years. Our little studio apartment has been a refuge. It's sunny and conveniently close to Anthony's work. But a one-bedroom has opened up in another building managed by our landlord, so we are relocating. We'll be on the other side of the
inner harbour in an area called James Bay. It's a few blocks from Holland Point overlooking the
Juan de Fuca strait.
We'll have a kid-friendly park across the street, an elevator (hooray!), and a grocery store a block away (rather than 25). We're only a few blocks from the gorgeous Legislature Building at the heart of touristdom here. (It's the most scenic and really close to the cruise ship docks. By the way, if you want to take an Alaskan tour, most likely you'll dock here on the way.)

Best of all, we're behind the crowds, out of the way. We're a few blocks from scenic
Beacon Hill Park. All in all it's a good move.

Sounds like you guys are enjoying your stay in Canada. Seems so far away, but really it's not that far. How exciting to be moving to a different place - bigger is always nice when you're a big cramped. I love hearing about all the fun things you are experiencing. How's the little one? Growing big, I bet.
Hooray for more space! Love you guys.
You new place sounds like it will be perfect. An elevator will be heavenly, especially combined with only a one-block walk to the store. Can't wait to see more pictures of your area.

Sending love from Houston! We miss you guys!
I'm glad to hear you are still alive in wildest Canada. I'm excited for your one bedroom and the close grocery store and the elevator.
Yay, I'm so glad you were able to find a bigger place! It sounds so beautiful up there, I hope we make it up to visit while you're still there!
